Privacy

Your relationship is personal. Your data should be too.

This notice explains what Graidful processes, why, and the choices available to you. Last updated: 23 July 2026.

1. Who is responsible

Graidful is provided by 73 Apps UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Bahnstr. 10, 50996 Köln, Germany. For privacy questions, contact hello@graidful.com.

2. Data we process

When you use Graidful without an account

Your journal moments, profile preferences, selected feelings, reminders, and other app settings can be stored locally on your device. We do not receive locally stored journal content unless you create an account or use a feature that requires the cloud.

When you create an account or connect with a partner

  • Account information such as your email address and technical account identifier.
  • Profile information you provide, including names, pronoun preferences, profile photo, and care preferences.
  • Journal content such as moments, photos, selected feelings, dates, and whether a moment is private or shared.
  • Relationship information such as a connection, invitation code, shared settings, reactions, and reflection ritual preferences.
  • Weekly reflection answers and the sharing mode selected by the couple.
  • Technical information needed for synchronisation, security, notifications, and troubleshooting.

Privacy-conscious product analytics

We may record coarse events such as whether onboarding was completed, a moment was created, or synchronisation succeeded. These events are designed not to contain journal text, names, reflection answers, photos, notification text, or custom labels.

3. Why we use your data

  • To provide the journal, backup, synchronisation, partner connection, reflections, and reminders you request.
  • To keep accounts and shared content secure and enforce your privacy choices.
  • To understand whether core features work and improve the product without analysing private journal content.
  • To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

Depending on the processing, the legal basis is performance of our agreement with you, your consent, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in operating and improving a secure service.

4. When data is shared

With your partner

A partner connection does not automatically expose your whole journal. A moment is visible to your connected partner only when it is marked as shared. If a couple activates a joint weekly-reflection ritual, reflection answers in that mode are shared as described in the app.

With service providers

We use carefully selected providers to operate Graidful, including Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; Apple for app distribution and optional notifications; and Cloudflare for this website and related network services. They process data under their respective agreements and safeguards.

We do not sell your personal data or use journal content for advertising.

5. Storage, security, and retention

Cloud data is protected through authentication, access controls, and relationship-aware database and storage rules. No online service can promise absolute security, but Graidful is designed to keep private and shared content separated.

We retain account data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual moments and reflections or permanently delete your account in the app. Necessary residual copies may remain temporarily in backups or logs before routine deletion.

Account deletion: Open Graidful → Settings → Your account → Delete my account. See the account deletion guide for details.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

To exercise a right, email hello@graidful.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Children

Graidful is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

8. International processing

Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as Graidful develops. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page, and the update date above will change.
